For many years, ADHD was considered a childhood problem. It was believed that symptoms began to disappear during puberty and diminish throughout adolescence. However, in recent years, adult ADHD has become a valid diagnosis. Untreated ADHD can cause a number of problems, especially emotional and affective problems. Adult ADHD can be treated and managed in the same way as in children. With the right support, children can live productive and successful lives.

6
SELF-MUTILATION
Self-harm is a behavior that involves pain and the meaning of that perception for the person actively seeking it.
Unlike someone who gets hurt in an accident, the person who injures themselves seeks that painful sensation or one of its effects.
And this is often a demand for relief, even if it sounds paradoxical to many of us.
Self-mutilation, or cutting, in English, is a practice that can be very common for adolescents of different ages and social contexts.
Linked to self-harm, the person may begin to isolate themselves from social life, spend most of their time in their room, and interact little with family and friends.
This may be linked to low self-esteem and the presence of negative thoughts about yourself, the future, the world and people.

7
CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY
Therapy helps the addict delve into the depths of their mind to address the primary trigger that causes them to use.
These triggers are not always known or quickly identified by users, however, throughout the process, the mental paths that both follow can surprise the patient and help them to transform.
Drug therapy and psychiatric monitoring are important in assessing the user's condition and the progress of the treatment. This way, cravings and withdrawal symptoms can be managed and the patient can feel comfortable in undergoing treatment, since the bad feeling caused by the lack of the substance is managed by the medication.
8
INSOMNIA
Insomnia is a sleep disorder and is therefore a problem suffered by many people around the world. It affects mood, reasoning ability and productivity. In addition, it prevents the body from performing essential functions that only occur at night and, therefore, constitutes a risk factor for diseases.
Insomnia can occur for a variety of reasons, such as stress, anxiety, depression, chronic pain and the use of certain medications.
There are several causes that can lead to insomnia. These causes are not always noticeable in the day-to-day life of those who experience this sleep disorder. Therefore, a more in-depth investigation of the cause should be carried out and treated with the assistance of specialists.
9
PERSONALITY DISORDERS
Personality disorders can be characterized by a group of psychological and psychiatric changes that compromise the normal development of interpersonal relationships.
When suffering from a personality disorder, the individual is unable to adapt to different situations in everyday life, as their personality becomes inflexible and functions in a distorted way.
People who suffer from a personality disorder have great difficulty adapting to certain everyday situations. In general, their behavior causes suffering and discomfort to themselves and everyone around them.

10
COMPULSIONS
Compulsion is when we have a desire, an uncontrollable urge to do something, an obsession or excessive repetition. This behavior is usually associated with the individual seeking relief from some suffering, an escape from a certain situation or emotion. The person who has this type of uncontrolled behavior may be trying to compensate for feelings of anxiety, anguish, ward off some threat or even seeking pleasure or satisfaction. There are numerous types of compulsions, but the most well-known and frequent are those for cigarettes, alcohol, sex, food, shopping, gambling, cell phones, the Internet, etc.
11
TOXIC RELATIONSHIPS
Unlike a healthy relationship, a toxic relationship brings pain and suffering, sometimes without us knowing where it comes from.
In a toxic relationship there is no respect and sharing of life, there is an attempt to control through emotional manipulation.
A toxic relationship has as one of its characteristics a cycle of abuse.
Putting down someone and their achievements, desires and opinions is a constant behavior, as is excessive jealousy.
The cycle of abuse goes through phases of violence, which can be psychological, material, or physical, and periods of repentance in which the abuser apologizes, asks for forgiveness and promises never to repeat the abuse again.
This creates a dynamic of back and forth in the relationship that emotionally destabilizes the person who is the victim of a toxic relationship.

SELF-KNOWLEDGE
Self-knowledge is the individual's awareness of himself. Without knowing himself, people live in ignorance of their potential and miss out on great opportunities out of fear or lack of confidence in their abilities.
Through the exercise of self-knowledge it is possible to:
Look at yourself as you really are, rather than how others see you;
Listen to your wishes and desires;
Recognize your life goals , being able to fight for them to come true;
Know your real value, reducing the fear of being incapable;
Being free to be who you really are, without the need to pretend or hide anything;
Lower expectations in relation to other people, also reducing the possibility of frustration;
Being open to knowing and recognizing yourself, without the need to judge yourself

PHYSICAL HEALTH
AND
MENTAL HEALTH
Our health is influenced by the interaction between physical and psychological aspects. Good mental health can help maintain physical health and vice versa. As a psychotherapist, I see the balance between mental and physical health as essential to achieving well-being and happiness.
Psychotherapy is a therapeutic process in which the patient is helped to understand their emotional problems and find solutions for them. Psychotherapy can be a powerful tool in helping the patient achieve a balance between mental and physical health.
An integrated approach to psychotherapy means that the therapist recognizes the interconnection between the patient’s mental and physical health. This is important in helping the patient achieve balance and find solutions that improve their overall health.

NOMOPHOBIA -
(FEAR OF NOT HAVING OR BEING ABLE TO USE A CELL PHONE)
When excessive cell phone use can cause addiction and problems:
Excessive use of smartphones can lead to psychological disorders, such as anxiety and, later, depression. This disorder already has a name: nomophobia, the fear of being without a cell phone. When away from the device, the individual becomes anxious, with the feeling of missing out on important information, or even excessively bored.
There is no doubt that the use of cell phones and social media has become more than just a personal and professional necessity, but also an important cultural phenomenon in our society. As much as smartphones are incredible tools that make our lives easier, they also have their drawbacks, especially for mental health.
